Waelder ISD board adopts Option A for 2026–27 school calendar

The Waelder Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district’s 2026–2027 school calendar (Option A) at its Feb. 16 meeting. Superintendent Dr. Ron Lilie recommended the calendar; Trustee Troy Sullivan moved to approve Option A and Trustee Donald Kincaid seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The board also approved the school board meeting dates and adopted a resolution designating non-business days for the 2026–2027 school year; both actions were approved by unanimous vote. The calendar and meeting schedule will guide district operations and public meeting planning through the next school year.
