The Waelder Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Feb. 16 to uncommit all funds in the district’s unassigned General Fund as of June 30, 2025. Superintendent Dr. Ron Lilie recommended the action and Trustee Troy Sullivan moved to uncommit the funds, a motion seconded by Trustee Avery Williams and carried without opposition.
Board members were also told the district’s audit by Roloff, Hnatek & Co., L.L.P. is not yet complete and will be presented at a special meeting on a date to be determined. No formal action on the auditor’s report was taken at the Feb. 16 meeting.
