The Waelder ISD Board of Trustees voted Dec. 15 to call a trustee election for May 2, 2026 to elect three board members. Superintendent Dr. Ron Lilie recommended the Order of Election; Troy Sullivan moved to approve and Donald Kincaid seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The board also authorized the superintendent to enter into a contract with the Gonzales County Election Administrator to run the May 2 election. That motion was moved by Donald Kincaid and seconded by Troy Sullivan and likewise carried unanimously. The minutes do not list contract terms or estimated election costs.
