The Waelder ISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of trustee JoAnn Ibarra at its Dec. 15 regular meeting. Superintendent Dr. Ron Lilie recommended acceptance and the board approved the recommendation by motion; the minutes record the vote as unanimous.
Following the resignation, the board unanimously approved removing Ibarra from SouthStar bank accounts and adding Vice President Troy Sullivan as a signatory. After a closed session for personnel and related matters, the board reconvened and approved adding Jordan Craft from Region III to the SouthStar accounts by unanimous vote.
Motions were recorded in the minutes with movers and seconders: Donald Kincaid moved to accept the resignation (seconded by Troy Sullivan); Kincaid moved to remove Ibarra from the accounts (seconded by Ruben Nava); Donald Kincaid also moved to add Troy Sullivan to the accounts (seconded by Ruben Nava); and Troy Sullivan moved, with Donald Kincaid seconding, to add Jordan Craft following closed session. The minutes show no dissenting votes.
