Board approves bus repair and gym floor removal quotes; athletic director outlines court, floor and network upgrades

The board approved a bus-repair quote from Reyes Diesel Service and authorized removal of the old gym floor during its Jan. 19 meeting. Both motions were moved by Mark Kellermeier and recorded as passing 6-0.
Athletic Director Justin Morris reported facilities work under way: the small gym and field house have been painted; the main gym is scheduled for painting after basketball season; Z-Floor is tentatively scheduled to begin small-gym flooring work around Feb. 16 with a 2'03-week estimated timeline; and Carter Construction planned tennis-court resurfacing beginning Jan. 19. Morris also said ethernet and conduit work to the football field has been completed to support future concession audio.
The motions that authorized vendor work were approvals to accept contractor quotes; the board did not vote on design details at the meeting.
