As part of the consent agenda, the Borough of Eatontown approved its 2026 annual meeting schedule, official newspaper designations and temporary budget allocations for the first months of the year. Resolution 12-2026 set regular council meetings for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with the next regular meeting scheduled for Jan. 14; the reorganization minutes list the full 2026 schedule.
The council also moved forward with financial housekeeping measures including a temporary budget with line-item temporary appropriations and a cash-management plan authorizing approved banks and short-term investments. The temporary appropriation totals and line items were listed in the meeting materials; clerks recorded that temporary budget rules under N.J.S.A. 40A:4-19 were followed in preparing the schedule. The meeting adopted a resolution authorizing the Borough Clerk and CFO to implement standard wire-transfer and investment controls and named approved depositories for borough funds.
