Residents raise job‑training concerns; Hill Studio offers local opportunities

At the Jan. 3 meeting several residents used Privilege of the Floor to congratulate newly sworn council members and raise community priorities. A resident, Ms. Fletcher, asked whether the borough can do anything for young adults regarding job training. Mayor Giovannitti replied that the high school recently hired a cooking teacher and a woodshop teacher to provide life skills and that the borough is working with the wood shop to build a shed on the recycling property. Mr. Lucas of the Hill Studio told the council his organization is "offering job opportunities in film production, marketing, to be a part of the community."
