At its Jan. 3 meeting the Paulsboro Borough Council unanimously adopted a group of fiscal resolutions to start the 2025 budget year, including R. #25.01 (temporary budget for 2025), R. #25.02 (procedure to process bill payments the third week of each month and in August), R. #25.03 (authority for appropriation transfers during the first three months of 2025), R. #25.04 (cancellation of tax overpayments or delinquent amounts under $10) and R. #25.05 (interest and a grace period on 2025 taxes).
Councilman Thomas moved the measure and Councilwoman Turner seconded; the roll call recorded Ayes from Councilwoman Evans, Councilman Holloway, Councilman Singleton, Councilman Thomas and Councilwoman Turner; Councilwoman Armistead was absent. The actions allow borough finance staff to complete routine cash-management and payment functions while the full 2025 budget is finalized.
