Commissioner William G. Gerken told the caucus that work stopped with CSO Phase I and that Suburban Engineers is preparing design and paperwork for Phase II. He provided a preliminary cost estimate: "Preliminary cost is $12,800,000.00 and will be done in 2 phases."
Gerken also said an ordinance related to a U.S. EPA Congressionally Directed Spending Community Grant will be introduced at the Jan. 13 meeting, indicating staff are pursuing federal funding avenues to help cover project costs. No formal action was taken during the caucus; commissioners noted the estimate and the design work in progress.
