Tatum ISD reports multiple resignations, approves new hires for 2025‑26

Superintendent Dr. J.P. Richardson reported the district had accepted resignations from several professional educators effective at the end of the 2024‑25 school year: Kaitlyn Buchanan, Vona Hill, Rae Livsey, Christi Mock, Stephanie Peters and Yazmine Sanchez. He also reported Lindsey Pena (Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, RCSSA) would end employment June 2, 2025, and that Barbara Puckett submitted a retirement effective at the end of the 2024‑25 school year.
Dr. Richardson recommended hiring Lisa Staggers and Haley Woods as professional educators on 10‑month probationary contracts for 2025‑26, Gricelda Zuniga on a 10‑month probationary alternative certification (Texas Teachers of Tomorrow), and Jennifer Wheeler as ARD Facilitator (RCSSA) on a 10‑month probationary contract. Curt Smith moved to approve the employment recommendations with a second from Matt Crawford; the motion passed 5‑0.
