Commission approves administrative amendment for lakeside patio at Grassy Hill Road

At a regular meeting the commission allowed an administrative amendment to an existing wetlands permit to accommodate a newly designed masonry patio at 1864 Grassy Hill Road. Applicant Norton Wheeler of Mystic River Building Company described the patio as approximately "17 2 by 17 2 by 31 foot 9" with a bluestone surface, an 18-inch-high city wall along the lakeshore, and a pergola.
Chair moved that the change be handled administratively with staff (Eric and Julie) and commissioners voted in favor. Staff said they will inspect erosion controls before construction begins to ensure required measures are in place.
