Chair reported that three wake buoys recently procured with grant money were vandalized or stolen over the weekend and asked residents who might have river-facing cameras to review footage.
She identified likely locations as Lieutenant River and Back River and said a Hamburg Cove buoy was also vandalized. The town paid roughly $750'$800 per buoy and the harbor master had installed them; the board asked residents and neighboring property owners to check recorded camera footage for activity on the reported evening.
Chair said Harbor Master Mike Presti held a press conference earlier in the day regarding the incidents and the town will pursue available leads and follow-up options if footage or witnesses are identified.
