Bert Fermley, a professional engineer with Sherpa and Associates, presented a demolition-and-rebuild plan for a Rogers Lake property (23 Assiulo) on behalf of owner Phil Votto. Fermley said the proposal replaces an existing house with a three-bedroom home and attached garage, relocates the driveway to the northeast corner, adds a new well and an approved septic system, and will surround disturbed areas with silt fence and a construction entrance to limit mud tracking onto the road.
Commissioners asked whether a seawall exists on the lake edge (staff noted the seawall was reviewed by the commission in 2015) and confirmed the proximity of the new house (the closest existing structure was about 50 feet from the lake, proposed to be about 38 feet). The applicant said they intend to seed and reestablish vegetation after construction and to cover disturbed areas for winter if work extends into colder months.
