Board flags multi-year carryovers and stalled capital projects for follow-up

Questions included a $2,300 entry labeled for Haines Park Playground under the senior center expansion fund, a harbor management $56,000 grant expected to be carried forward, and the town hall rear-deck and stairs replacement, which lacks a completed contractor schedule.
"It just seems like this is a lot of money to be paying from people and investing ourselves for the town when...you could be holding this yourself and investing it for them," one member said while urging closer project management. Anita and other staff acknowledged some invoices and contractor activity occurred after June 30 and said they will bring department representatives to the next meeting for specific carryover requests and to explain project timelines.
