The board considered an application for a prorated license to sell alcoholic liquor at retail for 32 Marine, LLC, operating at 536 CR 800N (Findlay). County Clerk Linda Qualls explained the business transaction: "John Fayhee has purchased Findlay Marina and much like south of town at Sullivan Marina, he is leasing to 32 Marine, the convenience store on the lake. Liquor licenses do not transfer, so, once the sale of the property went through, the license is not good. 32 Marine would like to have the liquor license now so they have it for opening day." Qualls said everything was in order except proof of property liability insurance; Dansig Insurance provided a letter saying they are working on coverage.
Lisa Florey moved to amend the motion to make the license effective only upon receipt of proof of property liability insurance; the board approved the amended motion on a roll call vote, 7-0.
