West Orange-Cove CISD board administers oaths, re-elects president and names officers

The Board of Trustees of WEST ORANGE-COVE CISD convened May 18 and administered the Oath of Office to newly sworn trustees before reorganizing its leadership.
Jakisha Wright, executive administrative assistant to the superintendent, administered the oath to trustees Tommy Wilson Sr. and Donny Teate Jr. After the oath, trustees nominated and voted to maintain LaTricia Stroud as board president. The motion to retain Stroud was moved by Linda Platt-Bryant and seconded by Demetrius Hunter and was recorded as carrying.
The board then voted to elect Roderick Robertson as vice president (motion by Linda Platt-Bryant; second by Donny Teate Jr.) and to name Demetrius Hunter board secretary (motion by Tommy Wilson Sr.; second by Donny Teate Jr.). Each motion was recorded as carrying with the full board voting in favor.
