The Waxahachie ISD Board of Trustees approved a comprehensive consent agenda Feb. 9 that covered routine business and a series of facilities and procurement items.
Trustee Judd McCutchen moved to approve Consent Agenda Items A–Z; Trustee Kim Kriegel seconded and the motion passed 7-0. The consent list includes approval of minutes from prior meetings; monthly bid reports and purchase orders; appointment of two school marshals certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement; new marquees at Coleman Junior High and Howard Junior High; multiple HVAC, flooring and door-handle projects at Finley Junior High, Coleman Junior High, Howard Junior High, Dunaway Elementary, Shackelford Elementary and Evelyn Coleman building; Turner Pre‑K playground renovation and door projects; a full HVAC install for the Coleman Junior High weight room; a memorandum of understanding with iteach for teacher certification; administrator contracts; an agreement with Foodservice Design Professionals, LLC; purchase of science furniture for Global High School; and approval to use district land as a materials laydown yard to support the Spur 394 construction project.
The board did not separate any items for individual consideration; the consent motion bundled the items and recorded a single 7-0 approval.
