McAlester Public Schools to operate concession stand under proposed MOU; city to provide space

Councilors noted past revenue figures for school booster activities (one councilor said band fundraisers had raised about $750 across two events) and supported the change as a way to reduce city staffing and supply costs while enabling school fundraising.
A motion to approve the MOU was moved and seconded; roll call recorded affirmative votes and the motion carried. Staff said the city would continue to provide the physical space for concession operations but would no longer order or stock product under the new arrangement.
