Public Arts Commission adopts storage plan for Lights in the Heights; event time shortened

Public Arts Commission member Lynda Schiappa reported that Artistic Holiday Designs (AHD) quoted $5,080.50 to store and set up the commission's holiday display pieces and said AHD could not provide an hourly repair rate.
City Manager Adam Jazinski and Public Works Director Joe Smith agreed that Palos Heights Public Works would perform take down and set up and store the pieces at the Recreation Center barn; the commission resolved that AHD would be contacted only if repairs were needed. The commission also agreed to shorten Lights in the Heights to a 5:30–7:00 p.m. window. Lynda Schiappa offered to bring a karaoke machine to simplify song selection for the event's sound system.
