Fire Chief McDermott reported 217 calls in December (an average of seven per day), split roughly 49% fire/service and 51% EMS, plus training activities including a pediatric simulation with Lurie Children’s Hospital, sink inspections, and Phase 1 completion of station sewer relining. Both chiefs’ reports were entered into the meeting record and trustees received the departmental updates without formal votes.
