Trustees note pop-up food pantry, ice rink readiness and upcoming recreation events

Trustee Jeanmarie Czajka announced that a Pop-Up Food Pantry will be held Feb. 14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Hugh’s Faith Formation Center on the Mater Christi campus and encouraged residents to bring bags; donation drop-off boxes are located at the Village Commons and the church, and volunteers can sign up through a link on the church website.
Trustee Sarro thanked Public Works for getting the ice rink on 8th Avenue ready for use. Parks & Recreation Director Jeanmarie Hajer-O’Connor’s report also noted that 36 youth basketball teams began play Jan. 17 at the Village Commons and Komarek gymnasiums, tickets and registration are open for community dances, and Bunny Bingo on March 27 is selling quickly.
