City Engineer Tim Geary told the council the city’s CDBG and bond paving projects will go out for bid next month. He also reported that the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) paperwork must be approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) before MFT-funded work can move forward.
The city did not take additional action at the meeting; the engineer’s remarks indicate procurement scheduling and state-level approval remain outstanding prerequisites to construction.
