“I would move to adopt resolution 12 45, resolution of the city council of the city of Blue Lake approving the variance application for Jason Lorraine Comfort to allow the construction of a new garage within the side yard setback,” the councilmember said during the meeting. Staff explained that the applicant provided assessor parcel maps and that the city’s records (including Resolution No. 137) show the alley adjacent to the property was abandoned in 1978. After the vote, staff outlined procedural steps: staff will prepare the signed resolution showing aye/nay recordings, the mayor and council will sign, the council secretary will attest, copies will be sent to the applicant, and the notice of action will be filed at City Hall.
The motion was carried with one dissenting vote (Napier).
