Waco ISD honors all-region musicians, student-athletes and Douglas Subaru partnership

Trustees recognized middle-school musicians and high-school students for region- and All-State honors and named Douglas Subaru February Community Partner for donations including 120 new coats and in-classroom support.
The board recognized multiple students for musical and athletic honors: middle-school students from Tennyson and GW Carver were named to all-region band and choir, and University High School athletes received Texas High School Coaches Association academic-All-State honors. Specific students were named during the recognitions and teachers and principals were acknowledged for their support.
The district also presented a community-partner award to Douglas Subaru for donating 120 new coats for highly mobile students and for making monetary contributions to Kendrick Elementary teachers. Douglas Subaru representatives accepted the recognition and district staff said photos from the recognition will be posted on the Waco ISD Flickr page.
