Trustees asked about how planning days can be used and whether changes to school start times had been considered; staff said start-time changes are a "domino effect" that require transportation planning and broader stakeholder engagement. The motion to adopt Calendar 1 passed unanimously.
Trustees also noted that Halloween will be a holiday under the adopted calendar and that the district has banked minutes equal to two extra days to provide scheduling flexibility for bad weather.
