Board approves consent agenda and $350,000 amendment for new Waco High weight room

Trustee Patton moved to approve the consent agenda (excluding 7b) and the motion passed; trustees later moved and seconded approval of item 7b and approved it unanimously.
District staff explained the plan for equipment: when new equipment is purchased for a new facility, older but serviceable equipment is redistributed to campuses or other district facilities that need it, and some items can be repurposed for staff wellness or small mini-gyms. "So this $350,000 for the weight room is from the bond," staff said, adding that the district will use the same approach it has used previously to furnish new facilities and redistribute older equipment to meet needs across the system.
