Waco ISD trustees open meeting with University High mariachi, honor trustees

An emcee thanked the mariachi ensemble and their director, Archie Lee Hatton, for the performance and the trustees for their service. Student presenters then presented tokens of appreciation to the board, and trustees accepted thanks from campuses across the district.
"I really wanna extend just a heartfelt thank you, to the University High School, mariachi Traianos, for the outstanding performance and to their talented director, mister Archie Lee Hatton," said a trustee (speaker 5) during opening remarks. The board also praised pledge leaders from Bells Hill Elementary and highlighted the district's multilingual student population.
