"I, Eugene Melody," the appointee recited as part of the oath, after the council moved and approved the resolution to confirm the municipal court appointment. Council members moved several additional routine confirmations — including emergency services, committee assignments and planning and zoning board appointments — and took resolutions 11 through 25 together as a consent block; those votes were recorded by the clerk.
