The Valley Mills Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted an order canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the Nov. 4, 2025 bond election at a special meeting on Nov. 17, 2025. Trustee Douglas Shanafelt moved to adopt the order and Trustee Kristy Hollingsworth seconded; the board approved the motion 3-0.
President Mike Jones called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and noted a quorum had been established for the canvass. The board recorded the roll and the vote: Kristy Hollingsworth — "Yea"; Mike Jones — "Yea"; Douglas Shanafelt — "Yea." The minutes state the motion "Passed." The meeting adjourned at 5:02 p.m.
