Residents press board on Blue Acres waterfront plans, water testing and porous pavement

An Environmental Commission member, Shari Garretson, said she had not been aware of the study and pressed whether the commission or residents were included on the Blue Acres team. Garretson also asked about industrial uses along the Causeway and whether the borough could lose ratables; Administrator Art Londensky described those businesses as preexisting nonconforming uses within the waterfront redevelopment plan and said the borough envisions different future uses for the area. Several residents said they liked the plan so long as proposed amenities would be maintained.
