The Sulphur Springs ISD Board of Trustees approved purchases of network switches and wireless access points for Sulphur Springs Elementary School (ES #1) and Rowena Johnson Elementary School (ES #2), to be paid from 2024 Bond Funds. The items approved were a $227,958.96 purchase of network switches from CDW-G and a $149,872.35 purchase of wireless access points from Optimus Technology Company; together the approvals total $377,831.31.
The motion to approve the switches was moved by John Campbell and seconded by Darla Reed; the motion for the wireless access points was moved by Leesa Toliver and seconded by Brian Kelly. Both motions passed unanimously, 7–0, per the minutes.
