The Gregg County Commissioners Court approved several purchasing and procurement items: the trade-in of a 2013 Ford F-150 (asset and VIN recorded on the agenda for title release), authorization for sealed bids for county-owned timber (Bid #2026-17), and authorization for the purchasing agent to advertise an RFP to hire a general contractor for the ag extension facility (RFP 2026-19). The court also renewed contracts for asphalt materials (Longview Asphalt) and veil coat services (Reynolds and K LTD) with no requested price increases.
Purchasing staff told the court the timber sale will be advertised to obtain the highest bidder and that the RFP for the ag extension will include planned build specifications. Motions for these items were made and passed by the court, which noted the June 30 backup contained the vehicle trade approval but required the asset details to release the title.
