The WISD Board of Trustees voted to approve a consent agenda at its Oct. 20 meeting that included approval of the 2025–2026 campus improvement plans and the district improvement plan, acceptance of financial statements and approval of minutes from September meetings. Trustee Brian Christen moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Tom Strickland seconded; the motion passed with six yes votes and one absence (Jim Sanders).
The consent agenda items listed bills paid, the tax collection report, budget projection and cash balances among the financial materials accepted by the board. The consent items also included a revision to the districts District of Innovation Plan and formal approval of each campuss improvement plan for the coming school year. President Steve Williams presided over the vote, which concluded routine business for the evening.
