The Wink-Loving Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution authorizing real estate transactions and naming the board's authorized signatory(ies) during its Jan. 6 special meeting.
District staff told the title company that recorded board minutes were insufficient for closing; the title company requested a formal board resolution and the packet included a draft resolution for consideration. "I move that the Board Approve the Resolution Authorizing Real Estate Transactions and Designating Authorized Signatory as presented," Trustee Chad Evans said when making the motion; Trustee Carrie Purcell seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes do not list the name(s) of the designated signatory(ies) or additional title-company conditions; they record only that the board approved the resolution as presented. The resolution was presented to satisfy the title company's documentation requirements and to enable execution of forthcoming real-estate transactions per the district's direction to staff.
