Commissioners discussed auxiliary events to draw people downtown over three days: the July 2 evening concert, a Friday, July 3 event (possibly a street sale planned by Lions and Kiwanis) before fireworks and a Saturday morning parade on July 4. The season will include a return to "Dancing under the Stars" with free lessons and the board asked for additional suggestions, including having a Color Guard at most bandshell concerts.
