The presenters told trustees the design process included more than 20 engagement meetings, site investigations and facility tours, and that project delivery will be phased across multiple bid packages over the next three-plus years with construction targeted to begin in September 2026. Board materials show the bond packaging distributes funds among Wimberley High School, Danforth Junior High, a new Multipurpose Educational Auditorium, Jacob's Well Elementary, Blue Hole Primary, district athletics, safety/security/technology and district support.
Board members did not take a bond vote at the Sept. 15 meeting; staff identified next steps as schematic design approval, engaging construction management, confirming delivery methods, and moving into design development with updated cost estimates. The presentation and timeline indicate the district expects staged bidding and construction to manage scope and cashflow over multiple fiscal years.
