Committee assigns newsletter and social media duties for 2026
Summary

The committee reviewed unfinished communications tasks from 2025 and reassigned them for 2026. Member Joan Thomas agreed to write an April newsletter article on Bur Oak restoration; Planner and Management Analyst Robert Savage will revisit a planned Climate and Extreme Weather piece for a July issue; and Interim Chair Maggie Trevor volunteered to write on urban forestry and Busse Woods for the October issue.
Alysse Dahlgren offered to provide short social media posts throughout the year on buckthorn removal and native gardening techniques to supplement newsletter content and event promotion. Staff were directed to coordinate editorial calendars and deadlines to ensure timely publication.
