A public commenter, Amy Teal, urged trustees to adopt an effective tax decrease rate and to "re-crunch budget numbers" so homeowners with homestead exemptions would see a decrease.
Trustee Jason Sneed moved to adopt the tax rate by ordinance; Trustee Ray Watson seconded. The board then approved the 2025-26 budget on a separate motion by Sneed, seconded by Watson. The minutes record both motions passed unanimously.
The decisions set the district’s fiscal plan and official tax rate for the coming school year. Board members did not record any roll-call votes against the measures in the minutes, and no dollar totals for the budget were specified in the meeting record.
