BID moves offices; Green Team appointments and WBYA report highlight community activity

At the Jan. 20 meeting Kristy Romanowski, executive director of the BID, said the BID is moving into a new office this week, coordinating historical items with the local museum, and has published its calendar of events (business-recognition dinner scheduled for Feb. 5). Manager presented the BID budget for introduction; council voted to introduce the budget and set a public hearing and adoption for a future meeting.
Mayor Cox presented a bronze plaque awarded to the borough’s Green Team at the League Conference; Josephine Noone accepted the plaque on behalf of the Green Team and thanked council members for their support. The council announced Green Team appointments for 2026–2028: Josephine Noone, Michael Franks, Gary Pohorely and Suzanne Marr.
Chris Infinito reported on WBYA activities in 2025, saying the board doubled in size and community presence, softball fields doubled with DPW assistance, sponsorships and reserves increased, bylaws were rewritten and the soccer program matured. Those reports were delivered during the 'Reports' portion of the meeting and require no further council action at this time.
