The Rolling Meadows Environmental Committee reviewed a draft 2026 work plan and agreed to pursue a slate of outreach and restoration events, members said at the Jan. 8 meeting. Planner and Management Analyst Robert Savage presented the schedule and suggested several opportunities to collaborate with city departments and community organizations.
"There could be an opportunity to collaborate with human resources and give out seeds and native planting advice," Savage said, describing potential tabling and giveaway activities tied to existing human services events. Committee members assigned follow-up tasks and named likely partners — including the County, Park District and the Forest Preserve District — to help execute events and plantings.
