The Village Manager reported the Village of Elmwood Park was awarded a $600,000 OSLAD grant to rehabilitate the Kiddie Corral playground and that the board would be asked to ratify the execution of the grant agreement with the State of Illinois.
The ratification was included on the consent agenda and approved in the board's roll-call vote. Manager Paul Volpe's memo described the grant amount and indicated administrative ratification would allow the project to move forward into design and procurement stages.
The meeting did not include an extended presentation on the design or timeline for the playground work; staff will return with project-specific schedules and procurement steps as the grant is implemented.
