Village Manager Paul A. Volpe told the board the packet includes a proposed 3.10% adjustment to water rates effective June 20, 2026, to cover increased charges from the City of Chicago and to meet debt-service costs related to 2025 lead-service-line replacements. "The Board will consider a 3. 10 percent adjustment to water rates effective June 20, 2026," Volpe said in his report.
The manager identified the rate change as intended to pass through higher wholesale water costs and to support debt service on the lead-line replacement work the village completed in 2025. The proposal was presented as a manager recommendation for board consideration; no final vote on the rate adjustment was recorded in the minutes for the May 4 meeting.
