Village Manager Paul A. Volpe told the board the village will consider submitting a Community Development Block Grant application for $500,000 to replace one block of water main and associated lead service lines. The manager's memo lists the project’s projected cost as $632,793. "The Board will consider a resolution authorizing the submission of an application for a CDBG grant in the amount of $500,000 to allow for the replacement of one block of water main," the packet states.
Volpe also noted the board is asked to consider an ordinance to borrow $4 million from the Public Water Supply Loan Program to fund Phase 2 of the lead service line replacement project; the loan would be repaid from water system revenues and the interest rate will be determined at issuance. The packet separately lists a $6,834 agreement proposed with Gemini Water Compliance to prepare the Consumer Confidence Report and a $14,220 one-year UrbanSDK traffic data contract (the latter for Police Department use).
