Board denies one Level III grievance, grants another and orders written apology

Following a closed session under Texas Government Code, the Wharton ISD Board reconvened and took action on two Level III parent grievances.
Trustee Lisa Morton-Perez moved to deny the Level III grievance filed by Mrs. Scott and to uphold the Level II decision; Philip Henderson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later, Philip Henderson moved to grant the Level III grievance filed by Mrs. Rivera and directed the administrator in that matter to provide a written apology to the affected student; Millard Stains seconded and that motion also passed unanimously. Both decisions were recorded by roll-call vote with no dissents.
