Gilliam described the district's plan to monitor progress, assign mentors, attend job fairs and recruit certified teachers; she stressed the district will continue to work toward full certification rather than eliminate the requirement. Trustees voted to submit the application and approved the district's plan, with administration charged to monitor individual certification timelines and report progress.
