The City Commission approved a site plan on Jan. 9, 2025, for 321 North Hennis Road that authorizes demolition of two buildings — including the 35,813-square-foot Diamond R Fertilizer plant — and refurbishment of remaining structures with related parking and landscaping improvements.
Planning Director Kelly Carson described the applicant’s proposed uses and noted planned fencing and landscaping work. Commissioners and staff referenced neighbors’ enthusiasm that the fertilizer plant would be removed from the site. Commissioner Colin Sharman moved to approve the site plan subject to conditions; Commissioner Lisa L. Bennett seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
