The City Commission approved three separate motions to reduce fines assessed to TL3 Uptown Studios LLC, doing business as Hideaway Oaks Studios, subject to a 90-day payment condition. City Manager Frank Martz told the Commission the property owner and counsel were in attendance and agreed with the City's recommendation. Commissioner Reece moved each reduction; Commissioner O’Malley seconded two and Commissioner O’Malley seconded one as recorded; all motions carried unanimously.
The specific actions were: reduce the fine in Case CFIREC0114-2021 from $140,523 to $70,261.50 provided payment is received within 90 days; reduce the fine in Case CIREC0115-2021 from $197,750 to $98,875 provided payment within 90 days; and reduce the fine in Case PFIREC0068-2022 from $27,773.25 to $13,886.63 provided payment within 90 days. Each motion included a clause that the fine would revert to the original amount if payment is not received within 90 days.
