The City Commission of Altamonte Springs approved first reading of Ordinance No. 1838-26, the annual update to the Comprehensive Plan’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Element, and directed staff to change a referenced launch month from January to May 2026. City Attorney Mary Sneed read the ordinance title into the record; City Manager Frank Martz asked that page six be revised to state May 2026 to reflect the correct launch timing.
Commissioner Reece moved to approve the ordinance on first reading with the insertion of May on page six and to set the second reading for Jan. 20, 2026; Commissioner O’Malley seconded and the motion carried unanimously after roll call. The item proceeds to a second reading on Jan. 20, 2026 as scheduled.
