Board ratifies architectural contract for new agricultural facility near Mile 10

The board ratified the administration's approval of a contract for architectural services with JANEC Architects to continue design work on a new agricultural facility located at the corner of Mile 10 and Border, adjacent to Silo and Gonzales elementaries.
"This is a contract with JANEC Architects," said a district representative presenting the item and asked the board to ratify the administrator's approval so design work could continue. The board moved, seconded and approved the ratification in open session.
Board members asked clarifying procedural questions and the administration said the board had previously approved the selection of the firm; the ratification preserves continuity while final contract terms are completed.
