At the Jan. 15 meeting Commissioner Howie Jacobs presented a proposal for a low-cost community podcast program intended to teach residents podcasting skills and provide a structured platform for local voices. Jacobs also provided an estimated budget for the program for board consideration.
The board recorded newsletter submission deadlines for 2026 (Feb. 13; May 15; Aug. 14; Oct. 16) and was briefed on other upcoming programs including Fiber Arts, kid’s yoga sessions, the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign and an invitation to host a table on Earth Day (May 30). The board did not take final action on the podcast proposal during this meeting but included it in new-business discussion for follow-up.
